Disappointment and Regret

I think that so much unhappiness comes from regret and disappointment.  We let those feelings sneak into our life and sometimes they are really difficult to remove. Since there is nothing that can be done regarding regret and disappointment, we should be able to just shake them off and get on with life but it is not as easy as it seems.  Today those feelings come into my life for many reasons but this morning as I wish my youngest sister a happy birthday, I think about her wellness and how I have not been able to help her be well and stress free, and regret that I have not made different decisions in order to help her more.  I also think about this day as the anniversary of my other sister's death and regret that she made the wrong decisions that cost her; her life.  She let her physicians kill her and I regret that I was not able to convince her to change her lifestyle and make better decisions.
There are so many people in my circle of acquaintances that are leading parallel lives to those of my sisters and I become overwhelmed with disappointed because I cannot help them change their lifestyle and make decisions that will make their lives longer and better.  The old saying that "you can take a horse to the water but you can't make him drink" is so true.  I have stressed myself so much trying to make "them drink" when all I can do is offer the water; so frustrating.  Maybe if the sun would shine, thoughts would be more uplifting......

Every day a new blunder by the medical world

Note on facebook about a friend who is getting chemo treatments: :So happy to have a big mac and ice cream"  should have had a green smoothie or a huge salad and some coffee enemas. The doctors are clueless about what feeds cancer.  Good healthy nutrition is beyond the thinking processes of an oncologists also can't imagine any educated person no knowing what they should do for their bodies.  This is a very smart educated woman!
I am waking up every mornings to new frustrations concerning how much knowledge is available and how little it is used by mankind also how little people really care.
Just decided that I am not doing any more conferences; the money I am spending to get this wellness info to others, I could have spent visiting Dr. Mayfield in Orlando and getting treatments from all the healing modalities. I could have had a really fun time if I had not been concerned about helping others.  NO MORE......

Spring is here?

I think Spring has sprung and daylight savings time is here.  All the talk about having more daylight to get more stuff done; not true, the same amount of time and the same amount of daylight, all that changed was the clock so you will think there is more time.  We are so easily fooled and conned.  I am not so easily conned since my animals know what the real time is and when it is daylight.
All four of the baby goats are doing fine and having so much fun, no worries, just fun.  That is the way life should be.  The old Golden retriever dog that I took in a few weeks ago is beginning to go "downhill" I now have to pick up her back legs so she can move about.  Her hips have just worn out.  She still enjoys her bone, food and watching the cats so I do not think it is quiet time to end her life.
The registrations for the conference are coming in really slow but I remember that it was somewhat that way last year.  It makes me worry about paying the bills but no one is concerned but me.  The plane tickets for the speakers have been purchased and now I must get enough money to pay for their hotel, etc.  Also have to pay for the event space.  I do not plan to do this again in such a big way, I will get a cheap event space and not bring in speakers next time.  I hate to say it but, "I am too old for this sort of thing".  I need to just relax and enjoy life @ 80 years of age.

Spring Holistic Lifesaving Conference

As I plan the conference, I always meet such nice people and learn so much from each one.  The weather has been so bad this winter and I really need the extra stimulation.
I have also been putting more books on my Kindle and learning more from reading.  One of the books that I added a couple of weeks ago is: Edgewalkers by Judi Neal, phd and I added her to my list of speakers at the conference.  From her book, I realized that I am a Connector, because I love to find people and help them get together with others who can help them.
My little Nanny goat had 4 babies this week and it is so much fun watching them play and explore.
Here is my flyer for the conference

Death of a favorite dog

This morning I am snowbound and very unhappy.  Today Bruno one of my favorite little dogs took his last breath.  He has been a bit lethargic the past few days and this morning appeared to be ill, he did not eat or drink and laid on my lap and took his last breath.  he came to me several years ago because he could not be near children and he disliked most adults.  He and I became very close friends because I was the only person who was not afraid he would bite, he never even tried to bite me.  He was a little brown toy doxie/Chihuahua mix and slept on a pillow near my head.  He got to go to the kitchen with me and had extra time with me, he looked forward to licking out the cat food can and knew when I had the empty can in my hand that it was his can.  I do not know how old he was and I am going to really miss him because he was special. One of the problems with rescuing animals is the grief that comes when they die.   Bruno was Special!
